My Socials
Background
I'm a freshman at the University of Florida studying Data Science, half
Australian
and half
Chinese
, born in
Singapore
and raised in Tampa since 2014. I graduated 6th in my class at
Walter L. Sickles High School, where I took 16 AP courses and earned
AP Scholar with Distinction. At University of Florida, I'm studying hard and staying involved. Outside of academics, you'll find me on the soccer field,
at the ping pong table, or holed up at Marston library working on the next thing.
Experience
Most of my projects start at hackathons. I've placed in competitions including Hacklytics 2026, Code for Change 2026, and UF GatorHack IV, building projects ranging from an AI travel companion to a kids' storybook generator to a game-based patient recovery tracker. Before college, I worked as a Mathematics Instructor at Mathnasium, teaching 40+ students weekly from arithmetic through calculus, and interned as a Financial Analyst at Zai Lab in Shanghai, where I used SQL to analyze business datasets and support financial reporting.
Leadership
On campus, I serve as the
Technology Coordinator for the Data Science and
Informatics (DSI) Organization, where I maintain the club website for 1,500+
members and manage the YouTube channel with workshop and symposium content. I'm also a
Research Coordinator at the UF AI2 Center, organizing weekly AI/ML
journal meetings and promoting joint events with partner organizations. In high school,
I served as Parliamentarian of the National Honor Society and
Historian of the Science Honors Society.
